August 30, 2012 — The results are in! Kilaurwen Winery is AWARDED SIX MEDALS at the 2012 Mid-Atlantic SE Wine Competition. It's our first competition, so we're glad to have been recognized. We won silver medals for Cabernet Franc 2009, Fiesta White and Fiesta Red, as well as bronze medals for Riesling 2010, Cabernet Franc 2010 and Cabernet Franc 2010 Reserve. 535 wines were submitted. December 7, 2010 — Five Virginia Wines Win Blind Tasting in "Virginia Versus the World" Seminar in Dulles, Virginia. The Farm Wineries Council of Virginia staged a "Virginia Versus The World" taste-off at D.C.’s Holiday Wine Mall. Kilaurwen Vineyards' Cabernet Franc won hands-down against a California Cabernet Franc. Read the full press release.
